This true story was written by my mother’s “sister” Ruth and tells of her German upbringing; the imprisonment of her father by the Nazis and being fostered by my mother’s family in England. It was written as en entry to the BBC “My Story” web site and I have copied it here in an effort to save part of my family’s history.
